On today's reading
Genesis 1:1–2:3 — The First Page of Everything
You are about to read the first page of everything.
Genesis 2:4-3:24 — The Wound and the First Promise
God did not make man the way He made everything else. Light, sea, stars — He spoke and they were. Man He knelt down for. "And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul" (Genesis 2:7). Mud and the breath of God. You are both. You have always been both.
Psalm 1 — The Two Ways
Six verses. It will take you forty seconds. It is the door the whole Psalter opens through, and it puts one question to you before you are allowed any further in.
Day numbers here follow The Procession. The Scriptorium ships a second plan, and the same day number carries different chapters there — the app always shows the day of the plan you are actually walking.
How the day works
The Scripture itself is free every day of the year. Where the commentary has been written it comes at three depths. The Read is ninety seconds and free — finishing there counts as finishing the day, with no asterisk. The Study and Ad Fontes go to the context, the Fathers, and the sources in full, inside the Brotherhood Pass at $8.99 a month. The answer to every objection stays free, always.
